Fifty Shades of Grey: Book One of the Fifty Shades Trilogy

Fifty Shades of Grey - E.L. James I went into this book with a very open mind. Mostly because everyone that had read it said it was great and it seemed that the only people bashing the book (in my life) were the ones who hadn't read it yet.
And I have to admit, some of my favorite books/movies/music are guilty pleasures that are often mocked by my friends.

But this book, I just, I don't know where to start. The writing was simply terrible. Now I get it, it's a smutty book, it doesn't need to be perfect. Hell, I love a good smutty book every now and then. But I don't want to read one that looks like something that a middle schooler could have written. The same phrases and descriptions were used over and over again and the characters were quite horrendous.

I forced myself to read the first few chapters hoping and begging for it to get better, but it never did. I don't think I have ever detested a book as much as this one. I'm sad I spent my money on this. :( Poop.
